Getting coached by Deathy was an incredibly valuable experience. He's one of the most knowledgeable and respected figures in the Deadlock community, with deep mechanical understanding and a genuine passion for helping others improve. What stands out most is his ability to rack your brain and actually make you think. He never just tells you what to do, he asks you to tell him what you would do, and improves upon it. That depth of insight makes every session feel like you're leveling up your entire understanding of the game. Just had my first session with Deathy (or anyone, I've only ever taken golf coaching before) about a week ago, and I had nothing short of a 10/10 experience. Firstly, my results have vastly improved over the past week after employing Deathy's coaching. I also, though, was slightly concerned the coaching session would be a bit more of a roasting session, nitpicking my gameplay and decision making given our massive skill disparity. Rather, Deathy was entirely focused on the issues I wanted to overcome and narrowed down his teachings to action items focused on those issues. He gave plenty of helpful tips & tricks along with big concepts I can narrow down, along with plenty of notes, and even reached out a bit after to check in and see how things were going. I would certainly say it was $ well spent! Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Had a session with him about 3 days ago. Wanted to play for a few days and see if it helps me improve. Once I got the hang of it, I was definitely having a much greater impact in games. He made a lot of concepts clear to me and really knows what he's doing. Would 100% reccomend a session with him!

I was playing in seeker 3-4 since i came back to deadlock, but the coaching from deathy got me to alchemist 4 already still winning way more than losing (56.5% winrate on my main pick) Always out performing as seen in the screenshot and even hearing a lot of Haze solo, Haze carry or even from the enemys Haze can u leave i wanna atleast have a chance or even making people rage quit... Was surly worth the money!!! Thanks!

So I was coached by Mr. John Deadlock a few months ago when I was in the mid-oracles. A few weeks after, I hit Phantom 6 and was able to ACTUALLY carry games due to a better understanding of the fundamentals of this game. I steadily climbed for a few months after and I just hit E6 a few weeks back and am now a top 100 NA player (I know still a massive skill gap between me and the TOP players); this would NOT have been possible this quickly without Deathy helping me understand my role better. Hey y'all. To preface this review, I'm a guy bouncing between ritualist and emmisary and at the time of coaching I had fallen back to high arcanist and ritualist. I'm not really good at sitting down and watching VODs, and my lack of MOBA knowledge makes it hard to point out with certainty what I did wrong. Going over my VOD with Deathy changed that by giving me clear points focus. He was both helpfully critical and clearly explained why I needed to correct my sub optimal gameplay. He typed up a key points I need to focus on, during different phases of the match and slowly integrate it into my natural gameplay. Also providing visual diagrams which drove the point through. If you need to find key issues with your gameplay and need steps to improve your gameplay, consider getting coached. It will be well worth it.

This was my first official coaching session for anything gaming related, so I came in with no expectations. I'm currently ranked Emissary, which puts me around the middle of the pack in the current rank distribution. While I consider myself fairly resourceful when it comes to learning and identifying areas of improvement, this coaching session was on another level. Deathy communicates concepts clearly and directly, offering practical advice I could apply immediately in my matches, along with ways to track my progress. The feedback was focused on skills that would make the biggest impact at my current level, which made everything feel very actionable. The post-session debrief and notes were also extremely helpful, adding a visual element to reinforce what was discussed and highlight key takeaways for the future. I genuinely believe this single session gave me more value than dozens of hours spent trying to self-review my own gameplay.

such a humble person. its different from just coaching, having the person on the receiving end understanding your gameplay and adding/subtracting to it to refine what you are already doing was a big win for me, i could do this weekly. thank you Deathy.

Deathy's coaching was both educational and fun. His teaching approach focuses on mindset at phases of the game, observing decisions that effect your match later down the road. I came away with a ton of my own notes as well as many products that Deathy generated himself during the session. As a visual learner, this was massively helpful. I'll appreciated his generosity, his perspective, and his candor. I'm going to put these notes to work, do my homework, and I intend to be back for more sessions in the future!

Deathy is an excellent coach! He is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and great at communicating core strategic principles. I booked a session looking for ways to fix inefficiencies in my game. He quickly identified a couple key areas for improvement, and both made sure I understood why certain behaviors are bad and offered clear strategies to improve. I highly recommend his services to anybody looking to improve their game.

Other than the fact that we identified WAY too many things wrong with my gameplay, Deathy was super easy to talk to, broke things down into simple tasks, and didn't micromanage. He always asked what I was thinking first so he could understand my POV, then he gave his input such as 'you did this right, but I want you to think about it this way next time'. Reinforcing positive behavior and giving the clear next steps to 1-UP your gameplay was definitely encouraging. I am a fairly average player with loads of play time and he still brought up things I hadn't even thought about. $30 well spent, and likely to spend again in the future.

Right away it was super clear that this coaching was not only 'here is the fundamentals you are missing go forth', although thats important. Deathy asks questions of you a lot to make sure he knows your mental stack/perceptions of how the game functions to then cater his advice to help reinforce accurate views and correct skewed ones. That is the kind of stuff you cant get without an actual coach and for 30bucks its a steal.

I had wanted to get coaching for a while but was never really sure if there were any games that I felt really good or bad about. I finally thought I did and ended up booking a coaching session. In the end I never used those games for the actual coaching, just some random games from that morning and with Deathy I was actually able to get some really valuable advice on common mistakes and habits I have throughout those games, rather than a perfect scenario which ended up giving me some really good insight and advice that I can actually apply.

I've gotten coaching / VOD reviews from a few top players and Deathy's is by far my favorite. He does a great job at helping you with whatever issues you know you have as well as identifying parts of your game you didn't think of, big picture / macro stuff, etc. 10/10

I'll just say that if you play the game a good bit and have $30 to spare you're losing money not getting coached by this guy. Made an actual effort to make sure that I understood flaws in gameplay and also that I was happy with the money spent, can't really ask for a better service imo.
